Garage preparation before a property sale
A homeowner contacted us about carpeting the garage of a flat they were preparing for sale. When we arrived, the concrete needed resurfacing before the carpet could be fitted.
We prepared the subfloor using our Metabo vacuum extraction system, then applied smoothing compound to level and smooth the surface. We supplied and installed Endure garage carpet to finish the space.
We assess the existing concrete and discuss any extra preparation with you before installation.

- Confirm the scope with Steve. We discuss the existing surface, product choice, preparation and entrance finish.
- Arrange your installation. We confirm access, what needs clearing and the installation plan with you.
Tell us about your concrete
Is it bare, painted, sealed or covered with old carpet? Are there uneven areas or signs of moisture? Photos help us understand what is involved and give you a more useful quote.
If the floor needs additional preparation, we will discuss that with you before installation.

How much does garage carpet installation cost?
The price depends on your garage size, the product, the condition of the concrete, any existing flooring to remove and your chosen edge finish. Send Steve the length and width plus photos for a quote based on your garage.
Can you fit carpet over painted or sealed concrete?
The existing coating and concrete need to be assessed first. Some surfaces require preparation before carpet can be installed. Tell us if the floor is painted or sealed and send a close-up photo.
Is garage carpet suitable for parking a car?
We can discuss a purpose-made garage carpet for your intended use, including vehicle parking. Let Steve know how you use the space so product suitability, floor condition and care requirements can be confirmed.
Can you carpet garage steps?
Yes, we can assess garage steps and discuss the finish as part of your quote. Include photos of the steps, their sides and the landing.
How soon can I use the garage after installation?
This depends on the preparation, adhesive and site conditions. We will explain when you can return items and vehicles as part of the installation plan.
